Nursing Professional Development

To improve the health of our communities, we must take care of our team members first.  Our nurses are at the frontline of care.

Being a nurse at ThedaCare provides many growth and development opportunities.  Here's what makes us unique:

  • Clinical Advancement Program (CAP) - structured development program to provide career advancement to frontline nurses, in areas such as leadership, nurse education, quality/evidence-based practice, nursing in the community, etc.
  • Onsite BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC and ALSO courses - we make cerfications easily accessible for our team members
  • Tuition reimbursement - designed to support our team members in furthering their practice/education
    • ADN to BSN initiative - ThedaCare supports RNs returning to school to receive their BSN
  • Academic partnerships - support student learning and quality improvement projects
  • Nursing excellence and recognition program - DAISY award program, as well as Exceptional Patient Care Partner Awards, are provided to recognize ThedaCare nurses for their exceptional clinical and patient care accomplishments.
